Have you ever just wished your vet could come to you and take care of everything without the stress and time suck of making the trip to the clinic? What if you could fit in the cat’s annual checkup while the kids nap or get the dog’s ear infection treated between Zoom calls?

That’s where I come in.
I’m Dr. Julie Brown, and I work with awesome pet owners like yourself who are looking for a more one on one, stress free approach for their pet care needs. I help make sure your pet’s medical needs are met while also making sure YOU have all the answers and tools to keep them healthy between visits- because that’s truly the way they will thrive.
I grew up in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University with my veterinary degree in 2009. I then made the move to San Diego for my rigorous year long internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital, where I rotated through several weeks of training with each specialty. Following my internship, I spent 12 years working as an ER doctor at 2 local specialty hospitals, where I gained invaluable experience with critical care and complex cases. I was also fortunate to be able to build relationships with many of the local specialists that I still consult with and refer to on a regular basis. I’ve also worked with a local home euthanasia company for the past several years, which is where I realized my passion for mobile vet care.
In my free time, you’ll catch me on the beach with my dog Callie, at a local winery with friends, playing my trumpet with the San Diego Concert Band, or if I’m really lucky hopping on a plane to my next travel destination. Aside from animals, visiting all of the beautiful places on my bucket list is my biggest passion!
